Foraleni Review operates under a set of editorial principles designed to ensure that every published article is accurate, clearly sourced, and honest about the limits of what editorial content can and cannot claim. This page documents those principles in full.
Foraleni Review operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.
Articles in Foraleni Review reference published research from peer-reviewed journals and reputable institutional sources. Editorial selection prioritises long-running studies and replicated findings. Single-study claims are noted as such and presented with appropriate context rather than as settled conclusions.
Primary sources include peer-reviewed nutrition and food science journals, institutional bodies such as Public Health England, the British Nutrition Foundation, and the European Food Safety Authority, and long-form professional literature from backgrounds in nutrition communication and dietetic practice.
Writers are required to record the primary sources consulted during research. These records are retained by the editorial office and available on request in cases where a factual claim is disputed.
Every article passes through the following sequence before publication. The sequence is not a formality — it is the minimum standard required for publication. Articles that do not pass all stages are returned to the writer for revision.
Factual claims — statements about nutritional values, research findings, physiological processes — are individually cross-referenced against the writer's recorded sources. Where a claim cannot be verified from the cited sources, it is either removed or reframed as the writer's own observation rather than an established finding.
The reviewing editor also assesses the article for register and tone: whether health-adjacent language stays within the bounds of editorial writing rather than sliding toward instructive or quasi-professional advice. This is a consistent challenge in nutrition writing, and it is a consistent focus of the review process.
Foraleni Review acknowledges that errors can occur despite a thorough editorial process. When a factual inaccuracy is identified — whether by a reader, a writer, or a member of the editorial team — the following procedure is applied without exception.
The article is updated to reflect the corrected information. A correction note is appended at the foot of the article, stating the nature of the correction and the date on which it was made. The original incorrect text is not retained.
Readers who identify potential inaccuracies are encouraged to write to [email protected] with the specific claim in question and, where possible, a supporting source. All such correspondence is reviewed by the lead editor within five working days.
Error reported by reader, writer, or internal review. Lead editor notified within one working day.
The claim is assessed against primary sources. If confirmed as inaccurate, correction is prepared immediately.
Article updated and correction noted publicly at foot of the page, with date. No silent edits are made to factual content.
Foraleni Review is an independent editorial publication. The publication does not accept sponsored content, advertorial, or paid placement of any kind. All editorial decisions — subject selection, approach, and emphasis — are made solely by the editorial team.
Writers are required to disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection or approach of subject matter. Where such relationships exist, they are noted within the article. As of the current publication date, no contributing writer holds a commercial relationship relevant to the subjects covered in any published article.
Some articles may contain links to external resources. Foraleni Review does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the content of external sites. Where affiliate links are used, this is disclosed within the relevant article.
The publication does not receive funding from, or hold any relationship with, any nutrition brand, supplement company, food manufacturer, or governmental health body. It is sustained through editorial standards rather than commercial alignment.
Articles published on Foraleni Review are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.
We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit, food choice, or physical routine, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements or are taking structured supplements.
The distinction between editorial observation and professional guidance is consistently maintained across all content. Language that could be read as personal instructive instruction is removed at the editing stage.
